Herbert Construction Co. – Founded in 1978 – Southwest Michigan

Barry and Linda Herbert founded Herbert Construction Co. in Southwest Michigan in 1978. With an old boom truck and enough lumber to build 150 lineal feet of hand-made concrete forms, Herbert Construction Co. was born.  Due to hard work and dedication, Barry and Linda grew the business into a booming concrete foundation business.  Furthermore, they provided many employment opportunities in their area.

Barry and Linda’s children grew up in the business.  Hence, they all pursued educational backgrounds in areas of construction management; engineering and/or construction equipment maintenance so they could be an integral part of the company.  Most of all, with 20 years of experience, education, certifications, and a strong focus on customer service we continued to expand the business rapidly.  Because of this increased growth, we acquired a poured wall contractor in Marietta, Ga. in 1998 to bring their expertise to the Atlanta construction market.

Herbert Construction Co. – 1999 – Atlanta, Georgia

After 20 years of constructing concrete foundations for residential, commercial and agricultural projects in Michigan we closed the Michigan operation in 1999 to focus 100% on the new Atlanta, Ga concrete foundation contractor business.

Barry and Linda along with their sons and daughter, and a really great team of people relocated to Georgia, and as a result of working hard and smart they established their name in Atlanta.

While Herbert Construction Co. continues to build residential and commercial concrete foundations we can do so much more.  Therefore, over the last 4 decades, we have expanded our business to include Sitework Development & Commerical Construction; Elevated Slabs & Podium Decks for Multi-Family Homes; Architectural Concrete Walls; Concrete Houses, and Safe Rooms and the list goes on!  Most noteworthy, we have built over 3, 400 foundations since our inception and the numbers keep rising.

You can’t miss our truck fleet with its distinctive tan and brown “H” logos traveling all over the metro Atlanta area.  Since we have a reliable fleet of boom trucks; pump trucks; form trucks and construction vehicles to travel to any job.  No matter how big or how small the job is , we can be where you need us the most.
